About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking an Experience Design Manager to join the Strategy, Digital, and Innovation team (SDI). This is an Experience Design Manager role for Consumer Digital Channels. This leader will be hands-on in the day-to-day creative with a mission to raise the bar of the work, leading by example and inspiring the teams. A strong point of view on design is essential, proven design experience, implementation of strategies in a complex ecosystem, as well as the expertise of blending the art and the science of a well-crafted experience. This leader will be a strategic thinker with the ability to build strong relationships across the Consumer practice to ensure connectivity and best practices are being followed for Wells Fargo’s customer base. This leader will focus on product-based design and help build out the needed specialization within our client experience in an agile design model. This person will have a deep understanding of the Consumer client base and experience running communication design and behavioral testing. In this role, you will: Manage and develop teams that maximize quality, efficiency and productivity Evaluate the User Experience Design according to established policies and procedures of the organization Work with clients to define issues and information needs and translating them into specific data/technical requirements to support business initiatives and projects Determine the required capabilities, tools and data Leverage and develop multiple internal or external information sources Evaluate, recommend and implement strategies for developing and utilizing technical and analytic resources to enable initiatives that predict, improve, support and measure business success Maintain necessary processes, controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity Ensure adherence to data management and data governance regulations and policies Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers Lead team to achieve objectives Manage allocation of people and financial resources for the User Experience Design group Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent Required Qualifications, US: 4 years of Website or Application Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education 2 years of Leadership experience Desired Qualifications: Proactive problem solver with a bias toward execution and a strong sense of urgency (demonstrated track record of getting things done, while building bridges, despite the obstacles in their way) Skills: demonstrated mastery/expertise in Product Strategy in at least three of the following: Interaction Design, Visual Design, Product Strategy, Information Architecture, Content Strategy, User Research, or Prototyping Ability to connect design decisions to broader strategic and business decisions Comfort presenting to all levels of seniority Job Expectations: This position is a hybrid work model and will not be a telecommute position, must be willing to work out of Charlotte, NC, New York, NY, or San Francisco, CA approximately 3 days a week Pay Range $111,100.00 - $197,500.00 Benefits Wells Fargo provides all eligible full- and part-time employees with a comprehensive set of benefits designed to protect their physical and financial health and to help them make the most of their financial future.
